What the heck are these things?

Goodz are wooden collectibles that link to your favorite digital audio content. They let you collect and share your music in physical form without the hassle of traditional media like cassettes or vinyl records.

How do I access the content on my Goodz?

Simply tap your Good against your phone's NFC reader for a few seconds, and your content will be delivered! For more instructions on how to properly tap your Goodz, please click here to visit our support section.

Will Goodz work with my phone?

If you have bought your phone in the last 3-4 years then it almost certainly will. If your phone is older than that you might want to Google it first to be 100% sure. Search for "Is the (your phone's make and model) NFC enabled?" to find out.

How exactly do Goodz work? What is Near Field Communication (NFC)?  

First you specify which music playlist you want your Goodz to link to. Then you just tap it with your phone to be immediately taken to that playlist via the magic of Near Field Communication (NFC) technology.

What is Near Field Communication (NFC)? It’s the same technology used for Apple Pay and Google Pay that is built into nearly all modern phones. Have you ever paid at a store or coffee shop by tapping your phone? That’s NFC. It is an increasingly popular way to access information, pay for goods and services, and to prove the authenticity of physical objects.

Do I need to install yet another app to use Goodz?

Nope! No app is required. Just tap your Goodz and it will launch the landing page in your browser. From there just hit the “Listen Now” button to get started.

Do I need my phone's camera? Isn't that just like a QR code?  

No camera required! While NFC is similar to QR codes in that it will take you to a designated URL, it does so with just a tap so you do not need your phone’s camera to use it.

Are Goodz durable?  

Goodz are built to last, incorporating robust basswood and a resilient UV printing process in their manufacturing. The basswood provides a sturdy foundation, and the UV printing, which uses ultraviolet light to quickly dry the ink, forms a protective layer, ensuring exceptional durability. This special printing method makes Goodz scratch resistant, allowing them to maintain vibrant colors and high-quality graphics even with daily wear and tear.

In addition to their external toughness, Goodz feature an NFC (near field communications) chip that can handle over 100,000 scans without ever needing an external power source. Solidly embedded within the wood of the Goodz themselves, these chips are both water and shockproof.

Whether displayed on a shelf, attached to a keychain, or passed from pocket to pocket, Goodz will endure for years to come, showcasing both their quality and reliability as premiere collectibles.

Are Goodz sustainable? 

Sustainability is integral to Goodz, influencing every aspect of our practices.

Our collectibles are crafted from pieces of basswood, measuring 2.5" x 2.5" x ~1/8". Basswood, chosen for its rapid growth, stands out as an exceptionally sustainable wood crop.

In our commitment to environmental responsibility, we employ a UV printing process. This method surpasses traditional inks in eco-friendliness by being entirely VOC-free. Unlike inks with volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which include alcohols, glycols, esters, hydrocarbons, and ethers, our UV printing uses UV light for drying the ink. This innovation minimizes environmental impact by avoiding the release of substances that, when evaporated during printing, can harm both our atmosphere and our health.

Our crates are made out of PLA (Polyactic Acid) plastic, a biodegrable, bioactive, and carbon neutral plastic originally derived from renewable resources like corn starch or sugar cane. Taking our commitment a step further, we exclusively use only recycled PLA in our manufacturing.

Finally, we prioritize using both recycled and biodegradable materials in our packaging whenever possible.

At Goodz, we strive to not only create exceptional collectibles but also to do so with a conscious and sustainable approach, safeguarding the well-being of our planet and its inhabitants.

THE MIXTAPE: ALL ABOUT PLAYLISTS

Do I have to specify my playlist link when I checkout?

Nope, we can ship your Goodz blank. When you first scan them, you will be taken to a page where you can specify the link you want them to point to. You can also update this link at any time 

So how do I load a playlist onto my Goodz once they arrive?

Just tap your Goodz when it arrives and you’ll be prompted to supply the link of the playlist you want for it. That’s all there is to it! For more on finding the link of your playlist, click here.

Am I able to change the playlist link after I purchase the product?

Yes! After adding your first link, simply tap the "Change Playlist Link" button that appears on the Goodz splash page before you are brought to your original content.

Can more than one person tap the Goodz to listen to the playlist?

Yes! Goodz are fully sharable, meaning anyone can tap them to listen to the playlist.

Can I order multiple Goodz with different playlists?

Absolutely. For each Goodz you purchase, just supply us with a unique playlist link.

Am I able to add or remove songs from the playlist after I submit my playlist link?

Yes! Your Goodz Mixtape simply points to a streaming playlist link so as long as you have the ability to add/remove songs to that playlist then you can do so at any time.

Couldn't I just text a playlist link to a friend and bypass this whole thing?  

Yes! And probably you already do that. By all means, keep doing so. Goodz are for people who want to collect music in physical form either for themselves or to share with their friends and loved ones. If that doesn’t sound like fun, then Goodz might not be for you!

Ordering, Shipping, and Returns

Can I change or cancel my order?

Once your order is placed, we aim to process it as quickly as possible, so there is only a short period during which you can change or cancel it. Please contact our customer service team immediately if you wish to make any changes or cancel your order. If your order has already been processed or shipped, we are unable to alter or cancel it. In this case, you may return the items as per our return policy once you receive them.For the fastest response, please include your order number and the specific changes you wish to make. This could include changing the size or color of an item, removing an item, changing the shipping address, or canceling the order entirely.

When will my order ship and arrive?

Processing Time:
Our first batch of Goodz will ship the week of December 4th, 2023 so if you order before that date please note it will not ship immediately. After that, most orders are processed within 1-2 business days.

Shipping Time: After processing, the shipping time will depend on the shipping method you selected during checkout. Standard shipping usually takes 3-5 business days, while expedited shipping options can deliver your items faster.

Estimated Delivery Date:
You can find an estimated delivery date for each item in your order at checkout. This date takes into account both processing and shipping times.

Order Tracking: Once your order is shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number. You can use this number to track your order's progress.

International Orders: We do not currently ship internationally. Look for this to change in 2024.

Please Note: Shipping times are estimates and not guaranteed, as there may be delays due to holidays, bad weather, or other unforeseen circumstances.If you have ordered multiple items, they may arrive in separate shipments.If you have any questions about your order's status or shipping times, please contact our customer service team for assistance.

Where can I find my tracking information?

Once your order has been shipped, we will send you a shipping confirmation email that includes your tracking number and a link to the carrier's website. Here's how you can find and use this information:

Check Your Email: Look for the shipping confirmation email in your inbox (also check your spam/junk folder in case it was misdirected there). This email typically arrives soon after your order leaves our warehouse.

Tracking Number: In the email, you'll find a tracking number unique to your order. This number is essential for checking the status of your shipment.

Track Your Order: Click on the link provided in the email, or visit the carrier's website and enter the tracking number to view the current status of your shipment.

Order History: If you have an account on our website, you can also find the tracking information by logging into your account and viewing your order history. Your recent orders will be listed, and you can click on the order you wish to track to find the tracking details.If you have not received a shipping confirmation email within a few days of placing your order, or if you have trouble with tracking your order, please contact our customer service team for assistance.

What if my package is lost?

We understand the concern that comes with a package not arriving as expected. If you suspect that your package is lost, please follow these steps:

Verify Shipping Details: Double-check the shipping address on your order confirmation to ensure it was correct.

Check the Tracking Information: Sometimes packages are marked as delivered before they actually arrive. Check the tracking information for any updates or delivery instructions. It's also a good idea to check with neighbors or your local post office in case the package was left there.

Wait a Few More Days: In some cases, packages may show up a few days after the estimated delivery date.

Contact Customer Service: If your package still hasn't arrived, contact our customer service team. Provide them with your order number and tracking information so they can assist you further.

Our Response to Lost Packages:

Investigation:
We will initiate an investigation with the courier service to locate your package. This process can take several days.

Reshipment or Refund: If the package is indeed lost and cannot be located, we will offer a reshipment of your order at no additional cost to you or a full refund.

Please Note:The process and policies for handling lost packages may vary depending on the shipping method and the carrier's policies.We recommend reporting a lost package as soon as possible for the best chance of recovery.Your satisfaction is important to us, and we will do everything we can to resolve the issue promptly.

Where do you ship?

We currently only ship domestically within the United States. We will expand shipping internationally in 2024.

Are taxes, duties, and customs included in my order?

Yes

Do you have a "gift" option?

We do not currently have a "gift" option but if you contact us at info@getthegoodz.com after your purchase we will gladly remove the price from the packing slip in the shipment.

Do you offer a warranty on your products?

Yes, we stand by the quality of our products and offer a warranty to ensure your satisfaction.

Warranty Details:

Duration:
Our products typically come with a 1-year warranty covering manufacturing defects and workmanship issues.

Coverage: The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. This may include issues like manufacturing flaws, malfunctioning parts, etc.

Exclusions: The warranty does not cover damages caused by accidents, misuse, normal wear and tear, or unauthorized modifications or repairs.

How to Claim: If you encounter any issues covered by the warranty, please contact our customer service team at info@getthegoodz.com with your order number, product details, and a description of the issue. You may be asked to provide photographs or send back the product for inspection.

Resolution: Upon confirming a warranty issue, we will either repair, replace, or offer a refund for the product at our discretion.

What is your return policy?

We are committed to ensuring you are completely satisfied with your purchase. If you are not entirely happy, you can return your items within 30 days of receipt for a refund or exchange, provided the items are in their original, unused condition with all original packaging.

How to Return:

Initiate a Return:
Contact our customer service team to start the return process. You will need your order number and email address.

Prepare Your Package: Securely pack the items in the original packaging, including any documentation, accessories, and manuals received with the product. Make sure the package is properly sealed.

Return Shipping: You will receive a return shipping label or instructions on how to send back the product. Return shipping costs may or may not be covered, depending on the reason for return.

Refunds: Once we receive and inspect your returned items, we will process your refund. This can take several days to appear on your credit card statement.

Do you have an affiliate program?

Yes we are actively looking for affiliates who want to promote and distribute Goodz! Maybe you are a DJ or playlister with an active following who routinely promotes playlists or mixes online? We'd love to work with you to create your own line of Goodz that come pre-loaded with your mix. Do you make custom Goodz for musicians? 

Yes! We are currently working with artists to create their own unique Goodz to sell online and at their concerts. To discuss your project please get in touch at info@getthegoodz.com.

Do you make custom Goodz for events?
